Current Map View
This is located in the center portion of the screen.  This is where you view map's created by the application.  When the application initially loads, this map displays a map of the entire city.
Navigation Frame
This is located at the left most section of the screen.  The navigation frame allows you to exit the application and return to the GIS website.  The navigation frame also allows you to directly contact the GIS Bureau via email, visit additional online mapping applications, view static maps, and obtain purchasing information for map products.
Tool Bar
Many basic functions needed to use the Survey Control Monuments application  are located in the toolbar located above the map image. The options in this toolbar allow you to zoom in, zoom out,  view the entire city, get detailed information about a monument,  print out information, and get help.  Each of these functions is explained in greater detail in the detailed function descriptions section.
